In the first quarter of 2023, the leading film and television apps in Sweden displayed diverse trends in weekly downloads, revenue, and active users, according to Sensor Tower data.

HBO Max: Stream TV & Movies had a fluctuating yet upward trend in weekly revenue, peaking at approximately $123K in the final week of March. Weekly downloads, however, saw a steady decline from 26.5K to around 12K. Despite this, the app maintained a solid user base, with weekly active users decreasing from 201K to 168K over the quarter.

Pluto TV: Watch & Stream Live experienced a surge in weekly downloads, particularly in March, where it reached nearly 48K. Weekly active users also saw a notable increase, peaking at 128K in mid-March, despite initial fluctuations.

Amazon Prime Video showed consistent weekly revenue, averaging around $43K. Weekly downloads exhibited a downward trend, dropping from 17.4K to 6.6K by the end of March. The app's active users remained relatively stable, fluctuating between 79K and 92K throughout the quarter.

Viaplay: Movies & TV Shows had a steady weekly revenue, peaking at approximately $113K in the last week of December. Weekly downloads were more erratic, ranging between 7.1K and 20.1K. Active users showed a slight decline, from 116K to 98K over the quarter.

Disney+ led the pack in weekly revenue, with significant peaks, including $481K in mid-March. However, weekly downloads decreased from 25K to 8.9K. Despite this, it maintained a strong and stable active user base, hovering around 550K to 620K throughout the quarter.
